Long-Distance Moving

Long-Distance Movers from Lake Sherwood

Single-truck, single-crew intrastate moves from the Lake Sherwood gates to anywhere in California. Estate-grade crating for antiques, art, and wine, a signed inventory at both ends, and no warehouse transfers. CAL-PUC licensed and insured for the whole state.

Elite Movers provides long-distance intrastate moving from Lake Sherwood, CA to anywhere within California. Whether you are leaving a lakefront estate for the Bay Area, relocating from the Sherwood Country Club fairways to San Diego, or moving into Los Angeles via Potrero Road and the 101, we run a single truck with a single in-house crew from load to delivery. We clear the guard gate and COI in advance, crate the antiques, fine art, and wine for the haul, and sign an inventory list at both ends. No warehouse consolidation, no relay drivers, no strangers' goods mixed with yours. CAL-PUC licensed, flat-rate quoted by inventory and mileage, family operated since 2010, and fully insured.

What You Get

A Long-Distance Move Done Right

Single truck, single crew

The truck that loads inside the Lake Sherwood gates is the truck that unloads at your destination. No warehouse transfer, no relay, no new hands on your belongings across the state.

CAL-PUC intrastate permit

We hold the CAL-PUC authority required to move households anywhere within California, fully licensed and insured for intrastate moves from Ventura County.

Flat-rate quotes

Long-distance moves are quoted as a flat rate based on your inventory and the mileage, so the price does not creep on the road between Lake Sherwood and your destination.

Signed inventory both ends

Every item is listed and signed off at pickup in Lake Sherwood and again at delivery. On an estate move with antiques, art, and wine, that inventory is your peace of mind.

Estate-grade protection

Antiques, fine art, and wine collections are crated and pad-wrapped for a long haul, not just shuffled across town. White-glove handling is standard on Lake Sherwood loads.

Gate and lane logistics handled

We clear the gatehouse, submit the COI, and right-size or shuttle the truck for the private lanes, so load day inside the community runs without a hitch.

Common Questions

Long-Distance Moving FAQs for Lake Sherwood

Long-distance intrastate moves are quoted as a flat rate based on your inventory and the mileage of the route, so the number does not climb while the truck is on the road. Estate inventories with crated art, antiques, and wine take more prep time, which is priced into the flat rate up front. Call (805) 697-6220 and we will send a written flat-rate quote.

It is all arranged before the truck arrives. We coordinate with the gatehouse and the community association, submit the certificate of insurance, and confirm the crew and vehicle details. If the destination is also gated or managed, we run the same process on that end so neither side of the move stalls at an entrance.

Yes, and it is a specialty. Fine art and mirrors get built-to-fit crates, antiques get multi-layer pad-wrapping, and wine is packed with the transit conditions in mind. Everything rides on one truck with a signed inventory at both ends, so nothing is handed off or mixed with other shipments along the way.

The drive is roughly five to six hours depending on 101 traffic through Ventura and Santa Barbara. We complete the load inside the community and arrive the same day for smaller moves, or arrange a morning delivery the following day for larger estates. We confirm your arrival window once we have your inventory.

A moving broker takes your booking and sells it to a third-party carrier you have not vetted, which is a real risk when the load includes irreplaceable pieces. Elite is a licensed intrastate carrier under CAL-PUC authority. We own the trucks, employ the crews, and are accountable from pickup to delivery. When you book with Elite, you know exactly who will come through the Lake Sherwood gate.

Summer weekends (June through August) book out three to four weeks in advance. Mid-week dates in spring or fall have the most availability. Because Lake Sherwood moves also involve gate scheduling and COI paperwork, we recommend calling (805) 697-6220 at least three weeks ahead; for estate moves or full-home packs, four weeks minimum is safer.
