Montecito Estate - Full Relocation

The Move

Montecito estate move, top-to-bottom. Five-bedroom main residence plus guest house and detached studio. Inventory included a concert grand piano, 30+ pieces of fine art, multiple antique sideboards and dining tables, two wine collections, and the contents of a fully-equipped commercial-grade kitchen.

The estate manager wanted one coordinated point of contact and zero on-site improvisation. We provided a four-person lead team with a dedicated logistics manager, and a crew of eight on move days.

The Challenge

Tight gated access requiring shuttle from the main truck to the property. Multiple climate-sensitive items including a Steinway grand and a fine art collection that required custom crating with humidity buffering.

The move had to complete on a fixed schedule because the destination estate was hosting an event 48 hours after the final inventory was placed.

The Approach

Three-day pack window at the origin property. Custom crates built on-site for the Steinway, the art collection, and three antique pieces that did not fit standard pads.

Five-truck convoy on move day with the shuttle handled by a smaller 16-foot box truck for the final approach. Climate-controlled storage staged overnight for items arriving before destination rooms were ready.

Two-day placement at destination including final cleaning and a complete inventory check with the estate manager.

The Result

Zero damage. Zero late items. Estate ready for the scheduled event with a full day to spare.
