Thousand Oaks - Full-Service Residential Move

The Move

Four-bedroom family home in Thousand Oaks moving across the county to a new single-story home. Both parents working full-time during the week, two school-age kids, and a deadline tied to the destination property closing date.

Client elected full-service: Elite packs, Elite moves, Elite unpacks the heavy stuff. They booked the package after a friend recommended us for the same service.

The Challenge

The family wanted to remain in the home until move day rather than spending the pack days in a hotel. That meant our crew was working around them, the kids, two dogs, and the family's normal routine.

The new home had a narrower hallway at one tight turn that required disassembly of the master bed frame for the destination side.

The Approach

Two-day pack window starting at 9am each morning, ending by 6pm so the family had quiet evenings. Three-person pack team. Day one: kitchen, dining, family room, dad's office. Day two: bedrooms, garage, decorative items, last-minute items.

Move day: five-person crew, 28-foot box truck. Master bed disassembled at origin to handle the destination hallway turn. Reassembly completed at destination before unloading the rest of the bedroom.

Heavy items placed in destination rooms exactly where the family wanted them. Boxes labeled by room so the family could unpack at their own pace over the following weeks.

The Result

Move completed in three days as scheduled. Family slept in their new master bedroom the night of move day - dressers placed, bed reassembled, master closet contents shelved.

The family has since referred Elite to three other Thousand Oaks families who have all booked full-service packages.
