Furniture Moving

Ventura Furniture Movers

Sofas, beds, dining tables, antiques and the pieces that will not fit the stairs. Elite wraps them, takes down what needs it, and puts it all back together in the right room.

Furniture wrapped for protection on an Elite move

The Service

Furniture moving, protected from the first room to the last

Elite Movers & Packing Services moves furniture for homes across Ventura County and Santa Barbara County. Every piece is blanket-wrapped and corner-protected before it moves, floors get runners and doorways get pads, so the furniture and both homes arrive the way they left.

Pieces that need to come apart are taken down for the move and reassembled at the other end. Antiques and heirlooms can be custom-crated in-house, and oversized furniture that will not fit the stairs can be hoisted in through a balcony. The crew carries each piece to the right room and walks through with you before leaving.

Elite is family-operated, has served households since 2010, and sends its own background-checked, drug-tested crews. Call (805) 697-6220 to talk through the pieces you have, the access at both homes, and your move date.

What We Move

The furniture we move, and how

Sofas, sectionals and beds

Large upholstered pieces and bed frames are blanket-wrapped before they leave the room, and doorways are padded so the piece and the house both come through clean. On Elite’s Santa Barbara designer living room move, the crew moved a designer sectional and custom shelving and placed each piece precisely at the destination.

Tables, desks and heavy cabinets

Dining tables, desks, dressers and cabinets are wrapped and corner-protected. Pieces that come apart are taken down for the move and reassembled in the right room at the new home, so you are not left with a pile of parts and a bag of screws.

Antiques and heirloom furniture

Irreplaceable furniture and family pieces are blanket-wrapped, corner-protected and, where a piece needs it, custom-crated in-house so nothing shifts in transit. Elite has crated and moved a 12-seat 19th-century walnut dining table.

Oversized and awkward pieces

When a piece will not fit the stairs or the door, the move is planned around it. In Ventura, Elite used exterior hoisting equipment to deliver oversized furniture to a second-floor unit with no elevator access, lifting it in through the balcony.

Billiard tables

A slate-top billiard table has to come apart to move safely. In Montecito, Elite disassembled, transported and reassembled a professional billiard table with a slate top, with precision leveling and felt protection throughout.

Furniture inside a full move

Most furniture moves are part of a bigger one. Elite can pack the boxes as well, or move only the furniture when you have packed everything else yourself, so the scope matches what you actually need.

On Move Day

How a furniture move runs

  1. 01

    Protect and prep

On move day the crew lays floor runners, pads the doorways and pad-wraps the furniture before the first piece leaves the room.

  2. 02

    Take down what needs it

Beds, tables and anything too big for the doorway or the stairs are taken down, with the parts kept together for the other end.

  3. 03

    Place and reassemble

Each piece is carried to the right room, reassembled and set in place, and the crew walks through with you before they leave.

Questions Before Booking

Furniture moving FAQs

Do you move furniture only, without packing boxes?

Yes. Elite moves furniture as part of a full-service move where the crew packs everything, and also as a move-only job where you have packed the boxes yourself. Tell us what is already packed when you ask for a quote.

Will you take apart and reassemble my furniture?

Yes. Beds, tables and other pieces that need to come apart for the move are taken down, moved and reassembled in the right room at your new home. On a Montecito move, Elite disassembled and reassembled a slate-top billiard table.

How do you protect furniture and floors?

Furniture is blanket-wrapped and corner-protected, floors get runners and doorways get pads, so your old and new home both stay protected. Antiques and heirloom pieces can be custom-crated in-house.

Can you move a piece that will not fit up the stairs?

Often, yes. Elite has used exterior hoisting equipment to lift oversized furniture into a second-floor unit through the balcony when there was no elevator. Share photos of the piece and the access when you ask for a quote.

Which areas do you move furniture in?

Elite is based in Ventura and serves Ventura, Oxnard, Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, Santa Barbara and Montecito, among other areas. These are service areas served from Ventura rather than separate Elite offices.

Who will be moving my furniture?

Your furniture is handled by Elite’s own background-checked, drug-tested crews. Elite is a family-operated moving company that has served Ventura County households since 2010.
