Heavy Lifting & Machinery

Heavy Lifting, Machinery and Equipment Moving

Machinery, medical equipment and the heavy pieces other movers turn down. Elite plans every lift on a site visit and moves it with our own forklift, jacks and liftgate trucks.

The Service

Heavy, technical and high-value moves

Elite Movers & Packing Services moves machinery, commercial and medical equipment and heavy pieces across Ventura, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles counties. Our liftgate handles pieces up to 5,000 lb, and we own the forklift, machine jacks and trucks we use.

Every heavy move starts with a site visit: the weight, the route through the building, the doorways and the floors at both ends. The plan, the equipment and the timing are set in writing before the day, including after-hours windows for hospitals and offices.

When equipment has to come apart to move, we take it apart and rebuild it, and we can receive freight off a semi into our own warehouse and deliver it when the site is ready. Elite is licensed and insured, family operated since 2010.

What We Move

Machinery, equipment and heavy pieces

Machinery and heavy equipment

Production machinery, workshop equipment and heavy commercial pieces, moved with our own forklift, machine jacks and liftgate trucks. Our liftgate handles pieces up to 5,000 lb, and every heavy move is planned on a site visit first.

Hospital and medical equipment

MRI machines, fluoroscopy units and other high-value medical equipment that most movers will not touch. We plan the route, the protection and the timing with your facilities team, and work after hours when the building needs it.

Commercial AC units

Heavy air conditioning units moved between sites, into storage or to the point of installation, with the right equipment for the weight and the access.

Specialist equipment we take apart and rebuild

Some equipment only fits once it is in pieces. We have fully dismantled a split hyperbaric chamber, moved it, rebuilt its electrical, air lines and compressor, and re-pressurised the system so it was ready to use.

Freight intake into our warehouse

We can receive anything that arrives on a semi: forklifted off the trailer, held in our own secure warehouse, then delivered on our own liftgate truck when the site is ready.

Hoisting and specialty lifting

When a heavy piece has to go through an upper-floor window or over a balcony, we plan the lift and bring the equipment the job needs. We have the tools and the equipment to get the job done.

Why Elite

Our own equipment, our own crew

The forklift, the machine jacks and the liftgate trucks are ours, and so is the crew. The people who plan your move are the people who do it, and every mover on the job has a defined role.

That is why we take on the jobs other movers will not: equipment worth seven figures, pieces that have to come apart, and moves that have to happen overnight.

How It Runs

How a heavy move is planned

  1. 01

    Site visit

We look at the piece, its weight, both sites and every doorway, ramp and turn in between before we quote.

  2. 02

    The plan

Equipment, truck, crew and timing are set in writing, including any after-hours window your building needs.

  3. 03

    Protection and rigging

Floors, doorways and the piece itself are protected, and the piece is rigged and secured before it moves.

  4. 04

    Moved and set

The piece is moved with our own equipment, set where it belongs, and checked with you before the crew leaves.

Hoisting and Specialty Lifting

Over the balcony, through the window

Some pieces will never fit the stairs. When a heavy piece has to go through an upper-floor window or over a balcony, we plan the lift on a site visit and bring the equipment the job needs, from grand pianos to safes and oversized furniture.

Questions Before Booking

Heavy lifting and machinery FAQs

What is the heaviest piece you can move?

Our liftgate handles pieces up to 5,000 lb, and with our forklift and machine jacks we move heavy machinery, safes and equipment regularly. Anything heavier is planned case by case on a site visit, so tell us the weight and the access when you call (805) 697-6220.

Do you move hospital and medical equipment?

Yes. We move MRI machines, fluoroscopy units and other high-value medical equipment for hospitals and clinics. We plan the move with your facilities team, protect the building and the equipment, and can work after hours so the department is disrupted as little as possible.

Do you do crane lifts?

If a piece has to go over a roofline or through an upper window, we plan the lift on a site visit and bring the equipment the job needs. Tell us what the piece is, what it weighs and where it has to go, and we will quote the whole job in writing.

Can you receive freight for us before it goes to site?

Yes. We can take a delivery straight off a semi, forklift it into our own secure warehouse, hold it as long as you need, and deliver it on our own liftgate truck when the site is ready, so nothing sits outside waiting.

Can you take equipment apart and put it back together?

Often, yes. We have fully dismantled and rebuilt specialist equipment, including a split hyperbaric chamber with its electrical, air lines and compressor, when it could not be moved in one piece. We tell you on the site visit what we can and cannot rebuild.

Are you insured for heavy and high-value equipment?

Yes. Elite Movers is licensed and insured, with California BHGS permit MTR0192064 and USDOT 3356160, and we send a certificate of insurance naming your building or facility before move day.

Tell us what needs to move

Start with what the piece is, roughly what it weighs, and where it has to go. Elite will set up a site visit and send a written plan and quote.
