Residential Moving

Residential Movers in Malibu

Beachfront row, bluff estate, or canyon hideaway. A family business since 2010 with in-house, background-checked crews. We plan the access, pad-wrap every piece, crate the art, and treat your Malibu home like our own.

Elite Movers is a family-operated residential moving company serving Malibu, CA since 2010. We move beachfront homes on Carbon Beach and Broad Beach, Malibu Colony properties, bluff estates above Point Dume, and canyon homes off Malibu Canyon, Kanan Dume, and Topanga. Every crew is in-house, background-checked, and drug-tested. We never use subcontractors. Access is assessed before move day, so narrow gated driveways get a right-sized truck or a shuttle plan. Furniture is pad-wrapped, art and high-value pieces are crated, and we coordinate certificates of insurance and gate access for gated communities. We are fully CAL-PUC licensed and insured on every job.

What You Get

A Move Built for Malibu Homes

Beachfront & bluff estate moves

Full-house moves across Malibu from Carbon Beach and Malibu Colony to the bluff homes above Point Dume, with the same in-house crew from load to final placement.

Canyon and hillside homes

Properties up Malibu Canyon, Kanan Dume, and Topanga with steep drives and switchbacks. We plan the approach and the vehicle before move day, not on it.

White-glove furniture & art care

High-value furniture, art, and sculpture get multi-layer pad-wrapping and custom crating, handled by crew leads with fine-art experience.

Background-checked crew

Every mover is in-house, background-checked, and drug-tested. We never send subcontractors or day-laborers into your Malibu home.

Pad-wrap & floor protection

Furniture is blanket-wrapped, stone and hardwood floors get runners, and doorways get pads so your home and your belongings both arrive in the same condition they left.

Gate, HOA & COI coordination

We handle certificates of insurance and book gate access for Malibu Colony, guard-gated Point Dume streets, and managed communities so move day is never held up at the entrance.

How It Works

From Quote to Final Walkthrough

01

Walkthrough & quote

We size your inventory, note access details like gated driveways, PCH staging, and beach-level stairs, and send a written quote with no surprise charges.

02

Protect & prep

On move day the crew lays floor protection, pads doorways and rails, and pad-wraps every piece of furniture before the first item leaves the room.

03

Load & transport

The same in-house crew loads a right-sized truck, secures everything for the coast highway or the canyon grades, and drives it to your new address.

04

Place & reassemble

We carry items to the right rooms, reassemble furniture, and walk through with you before we leave.

Common Questions

Malibu Residential Moving FAQs

A Malibu residential move is priced by your home size, the crew needed, and access details. A gated driveway that needs a shuttle load, beach-level stairs, or a canyon approach all add time versus a straightforward job, and high-value pieces that need crating are quoted for. Call (805) 697-6220 for a walkthrough and a written quote with no surprise charges.

Yes. Beachfront rows are some of our most common Malibu jobs. We plan the PCH staging, protect decks and railings from equipment, and account for sand, salt air, and stair carries down to the beach level. Everything is pad-wrapped before it moves and the same crew handles both ends.

We do both. A full home move means we handle every room from first wrap to final placement. A partial move means we move specific items or rooms you specify, which is common during Malibu remodels. Either way, you get the same in-house, background-checked crew and the same pad-wrap protection on every piece.

White-glove handling is standard. Fine art, mirrors, sculpture, and marble or stone pieces get custom-built crates rather than a box that almost fits, and furniture gets multi-layer pad-wrapping. Crew leads with fine-art experience oversee the wrap, the load, and the placement. Nothing is rushed.

That happens often here, and we plan for it. During the walkthrough we check the gate width, driveway grade, and turning room. If a big truck cannot make the approach, we bring a smaller truck or shuttle loads from a staging point off PCH or the canyon road. The plan and its effect on the quote are put in writing before move day.

One to two weeks of lead time is ideal, and more if the move needs a shuttle plan, HOA gate coordination, or crating for art. Weekends and end-of-month dates go first. If your timeline is shorter, call (805) 697-6220 and we will do our best to fit you in.
